Flu vaccinations

Flu is a highly contagious virus infection that occurs during the winter months. The flu vaccine, which lasts for one year, is a preventive measure to help you avoid catching flu for the whole flu season.

Immunisation against flu is effective and safe and prevents flu in 70-80 percent of healthy adults*.

Why should you have a flu vaccination?

Although you are unlikely to suffer serious complications if you contract the flu virus, you will probably suffer the consequences of missed social events and disruptions to your professional career as well as the added stress associated with being unwell. Also by protecting yourself against flu, you will be protecting those more vulnerable to complications like your children or elderly relatives.

Vaccines cost £15 per person.
